About Me

Hi! That's me! And of course my little fur child Winston. My name is Brittany and I am an East Coast girl living in a Mid-West World. Originally born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware - land of tax free shopping, beautiful beaches, and people who think 30 degrees is cold. I gave it all up to marry my college sweetheart and move with him to the Midwest.

For two years we lived in Mitchell, SD - Home of the Corn Palace, a pretty kick ass rodeo, and people who celebrate 30 degrees and wear shorts in the 40's. I strangely became one of them.  After two years, new friends, and some awesome adventures we moved (again) outside a little town in Central Iowa called Ogden. We live on 14 acres, where I raise chickens named after Country Superstars, my husbands makes hay, and where our closest neighbor is a mile away. I work for Iowa State University in a pre-college outreach program called TRIO Talent Search that I absolutely LOVE!

I started my blog as a way to keep in touch with family and friends back East but it has become so much more. I enjoy sharing my thoughts, showing whats going on in my life, and connecting with other bloggers.  You never know what I'm going to post... some days I'm unsure myself. I hope to hear from you as I, Simply Adapt to Where Ever Life Takes Me.

    1. Hi Emily! Thanks for stopping in! I took the time to venture over to The Small Stuff Counts and love it! Can't wait to see more great ideas from your prospective! Also, maybe you have some helpful hints of how the heck to meet people in these little towns! We live in the country away from out town (Ogden) and work in Ames so it's so hard to meet people! Been here 2 years and just know some neighbors and a few new faces :(

  2. Yum....walking Tacos.... :)
I understand the moving thing. I did half my growing up in Florida and the rest in Ontario then moved to Michigan and then Chicago so I get it. It is funny how places do grow on us though
